When will I get a job? — how to read it in your kundli
A job is read from more than one place in the chart, and timing comes from the dasha. Here is the classical method, step by step, so you can follow what an astrologer looks at.
1. The houses: 10th, 6th, 2nd and 11th
The 10th house is karma — work and standing. The 6th is service, competition and the daily job; the 2nd and 11th show income and gains. Planets placed in these houses, and where their lords sit, describe the kind of work and how it grows.
2. The karakas of work
Shani (Saturn) stands for steady effort and service, Surya (Sun) for government and authority, Budh (Mercury) for trade, numbers and communication, and Guru (Jupiter) for guidance, teaching and advice. A strong, well-placed karaka supports its kind of work.
Dasha first, gochar second
Classical astrologers time an event mainly by the Vimshottari dasha: the mahadasha, antardasha and pratyantar of planets linked to the house in question. Gochar (the transit of Jupiter and Saturn over that house, its lord or the Moon) then narrows the years to months. A good transit without a supporting dasha is read as a smaller opening; both together as a clearer one.
3. The career chart (D10)
The dashamsha, a divisional chart of the 10th house, is used to see the field and the turns of a career in more detail. It is read only with a reliable birth time.
4. Timing and your effort
Jyotish shows when effort tends to meet less resistance. Applications, skills and interviews remain yours; a supportive period is a good time to push them, a slower one a good time to prepare.
How AstroVedhic answers this
Our engine reads your whole chart — lagna, houses, lords, karakas, the running dasha down to pratyantar and the transits — on NASA JPL data. An answer starts with what is running now, then the better months of the next twelve, with the reason behind them. The dates come from the calculation, never from the AI that words the answer.
Questions
- Can my Moon sign alone tell when I will get a job?
- Only a general picture: the transit of Jupiter and Saturn from the Moon sign. The timing itself comes from your dasha, which needs the birth date, time and place.
- What is looked at for a government job?
- Traditionally the Sun and its link with the 10th house or its lord, along with the 6th house for competitive exams. It describes a tendency; preparation decides the exam.
- Can I check this without an exact birth time?
- Partly. Without the time the lagna and the dasha dates are uncertain, so the houses are counted from the Moon sign and only the broad picture is read. A birth time checked against a few past events makes the months much sharper — the app has such a check.
